Surgical Intensive Care
Surgical Intensive Care is a speciality of intensive care related to the care and treatment of patients who are seriously or critically ill after surgery. Our SICU units closely monitor our patients, in cases where they exhibit unstable symptoms. Patients requiring surgical intensive care may need support to stabilize their blood pressure or breathing, kidney function, heart rhythm or support organs that are not functioning.

Each critical care unit in AR Multi Speciality Hospital has medical teams from several specialities and a wide range of technologies to ensure the survival and health of patients who are critically ill. The centre is staffed by a team of specialists qualified in critical care management, available round-the-clock.

We provides facilities for investigation and management of all types of infective and non-infective pulmonary diseases. The Department of Critical Care works in coordination with the Cardio-vascular Department and the Neurosciences Department to ensure the highest quality of care for patients having various issues.

CCU

Originally designed to care for people with acute heart attacks, Our coronary care unit (CCU) provide critical care to people with acute coronary syndrome, life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias, severe heart failure, and people recovering from cardiac surgery.

The Critical Care Medicine Department at AR Multi speciality hospital provides multidisciplinary critical care service with representation from the Departments of Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Surgery, Neurology, and Pediatrics. Our CCU is staffed around the clock by nurses, technicians, and physicians specially trained to take care of people with serious cardiac conditions.
Our ICUs are designed to prevent cross infection and ICU psychosis. The type of treatment offered is based upon the unique medical needs of the patient. People in a CCU will frequently need specialized testing, and commonly used tests often can be performed right in the CCU itself, including bloodwork, electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, and chest X-rays. All the beds have a cardiac monitoring system which caters to electrocardiographic monitoring.

NICU

Our dedicated team of neonatologists and our modern medical facilities provide specialist care to Infants requiring care for a wide range of complex medical problems. In order to deliver truly reliable intensive care, we leverage the most advanced equipment and proven approaches to critical case management.

Facilities at NICU

  • 30 bedded Level-3 NICU facilities for neonatal ventilation (5 ventilators) including HFOV (High- frequency Oscillatory Ventilation), NIV (Non-invasive ventilation), NIPPV(Non -invasive positive pressure Ventilation) and HFNC (High Flow Nasal Cannula).
  • Facilities for intensive phototherapy, exchanged transfusion, Neonatal portable X-rays & ultrasounds (Echocardiography & Ultrasound- Head), Therapeutic hypothermia for babies with Perinatal Asphyxia (MIRA-Cradle), Total Parenteral Nutrition(TPN).
  • Management of extreme premature and low birth weight babies.
  • C-PAP (8 Machines)
  • 24×7 services for ABG (Arterial Blood Gas)
  • Common Procedures: Vascular access including central line placement, PICC line insertion, exchange transfusion.
  • Follow-up of High Risk Babies.
